IIRC, MySQL has long supported dual licenses (a 'Commercial License' that requires purchasing or the GPL). The news isn't the dual licensing -- it's the dual distributions. Frankly, it seems like much ado about nothing. From Red Hat to OpenLDAP, everyone seems to be offering a 'commercial version' of a FOSS project.
