In with the new/out with the old
The grand Decoding Liberation book tour is officially over. We had our last book party at the Center for Place, Culture, and Politics at the CUNY Graduate Center. Neil Smith was kind enough to host us and we look forward to more collaborations with the Center down the line. The discussion was the shortest out of all the four events thus far, but way more wine was consumed (in fact, watching the very efficient replacement of empties by full bottles was one of the highlights of the evening).
Scott and I have also sent off an article to the journal Ethics and Information Technology; it considers what the ethical import of Freedom Zero is and what contribution it makes to our understanding of the ethical uses of software (it spins off some thoughts that first occurred to us during the writing of Chapter 2 of Decoding Liberation). We'd love to get comments on it, so please pick up a copy from this link, and tell us what you think.

Just to let you know that the link for the article doesn't work...
